Maps: Provoking lots of descriptive language and discussions about where we live and how to get there and places that we’ve visited. Some children added smaller roads to the large map to join major roads to make it quicker to get there!
We have moved our map thinking to the block area recently. Will the children begin to make 3D maps to play in?

2022 families:
Here is some information to support you in navigating the changes to the beginning of the preschool year.

Please make sure that you have downloaded and set up your SKOOLBAG account and joined the Preschool group. We will use this platform to communicate with you. You may receive email communication from us in the next week or so too.

Our first official day will be Wednesday Feb 2, 9am until 1pm for the GREEN group.

If you need to speak with us, we will be on site to take your calls on Thursday 27th January.

There is currently some uncertainty about how our 2022 preschool will unfold, but one thing that we can state with unwavering certainty is that we will miss our precious Karen ENORMOUSLY. Here she is reading her final story to the children on their last day of kindy last year. Karen has been a vital and respected member of our team and our learning community. A highly skilled, dedicated, curious, intuitive and reflective educator, Karen has been pivotal in supporting our team as we strive toward our shared vision for children and high quality early childhood education at One Tree Hill. If something needed doing….Karen got it done. Karen, we thank you for over a decade of exemplary service to the One Tree Hill community, thank for for always being my ‘ right hand woman’ ( it is officially a super power!).
Enjoy a well earned retirement.
