๐ฑโจ Young people creating change in Brighton! โจ๐ฑ
Thanks to funding from the Tasmanian Community Fund, the Community Creators Program is continuing to inspire students across the Brighton Municipality to turn ideas into action and discover the power of working together to strengthen their community, under the guidance of Brighton Council's Community Creator's Coordinator Curtis Knox.
๐ At St Paul's Catholic School, students are bringing an unused space to life through Project G.A.R.D.E.N. (Growing Assets, Relationships, Development, Education & Nature), transforming it into a vibrant community garden.
๐ค Through Project S.H.E.L.T.E.R. (Students Helping Empower Lives through Essential Relief) students at East Derwent Primary School JRLF are supporting people experiencing hardship by creating care packs and sharing messages of encouragement.
Community Creators is about more than projectsโit's about belonging, participation and empowering young people to lead with kindness, creativity and purpose. Every idea, every conversation and every small action is helping build a stronger, more connected Brighton.
This is just the beginning, and we can't wait to share more of these inspiring stories as our young leaders continue to create, lead and make a difference in the places they live, learn and play.
