Ecstatic is an understatement when I say how thrilled I am to finally be able to share this news. It’s a huge part of what we have been working away at quietly for the past 3.5 years. Bringing and keeping these stage 2 works to the top of the upcoming projects list has been a major focus for both myself and Jana Mates - Councillor City of Marion, Southern Hills Ward. Thank you again to Amanda Rishworth MP and for their election commitments - and to the clubs for their assistance in providing invaluable input as to what we can deliver that will service not only the clubs directly involved at the complex today, but this that will be involved in the future and the whole community in general who will be and to experience what will be a magnificent facility for may many years to come.

A fantastic new opportunity (encomppased in our recently endorsed Public Art Strategy). I encourage any aspiring or accomplished artists - especially those living in the City of Marion to put in their Submission asap as the closing date is not very far away. Can’t wait to see what they come up with!!

How would you like to see your artwork on the brand-new Marion Basketball Stadium? 🏀🎨

We want the new stadium to be more than a sporting facility, we want it to be a place of community, energy and creativity!

The theme is “Movement”, capturing rhythm, energy and connection. Whether abstract or representational, we want artwork that reflects the flow of people, sport and community coming together.

We’re looking for South Australian artists to help bring this vision to life through a large-scale sculptural public artwork.

Installed on the stadium’s northern façade, the work will become a landmark for the precinct.

Expressions of Interest are now open!
✔️ Submissions due 19 November 2025, 11 am
✔️ Open to experienced SA-based artists and artist teams

⚽ Facility Update: Pitch 4 Now Open (Restricted Use) + Maintenance Schedule

Big news, Cove FC community! 🙌

We’re thrilled to announce that Pitch 4 is now officially open for restricted use following its completion last Friday! The new surface looks fantastic, but with a few sandy patches and areas of ongoing grass growth, it’ll remain in controlled use until 31 January 2026.

During this period, Pitch 4 will host:
• Adelaide United Academy’s Summer Sevens Tournament
• Pre-season training for our Senior Men’s and Women’s teams

This partial use helps the surface fully establish over summer, setting us up for an incredible 2026 season. 🌱

🚧 Pitches 1, 2 & 3 Closed for Maintenance

As of last Friday, Pitches 1, 2, and 3 are now closed for their scheduled three-month rest and recovery period through to 31 January 2026.

During this time, the main gates on Adams Road will remain closed - no access or use is permitted.
Our grounds team will carry out fertiliser and chemical treatments, irrigation, and recovery work to ensure the pitches are safe and top-quality for next year’s competitions.

Why It Matters?

This planned maintenance means we’ll be ready to kick off the 2026 season with nine months of high-quality football on all pitches.

We appreciate your patience and cooperation every bit of care helps us keep our facilities among the best in the region.

Thank you for your continued support!
The Cove FC Committee

Looking forward to Celebrating Halloween with everyone who participates - Seaview Downs definitely does!! I know lots of people I have spoke to think these common sense principles and reminders are great so let’s hope everyone can be conscientious and diligent about removing all traces of their decorations when the time comes to take them down. 🎃🎃🎃

This photo shows plastic tangled in a bird’s nest. It is a reminder that what we leave behind can harm wildlife.

⚠️ Remember this Halloween - don’t use fake spiderwebs outdoors as they can be harmful to birds and other creatures. Any fake spiderwebs placed on Council land may be removed by inspectors.
