A big congrats to Shellharbour’s rising sports stars 👏

On Monday, 31 local athletes were awarded Illawarra Academy of Sport scholarships across sports including basketball, cycling, football, hockey, netball, rugby sevens, triathlon and volleyball.

We've proudly supported the Academy for many years and in 2026 contributed $22,500 to the program.

We’re proud to support pathways that help our young athletes chase their dreams. 💪

Our draft Disability Inclusion Action Plan 2026 - 2030 is now on public exhibition.

This plan outlines how we’ll continue to make Shellharbour a place where everyone can live, work and play - with a strong focus on access, inclusion and removing barriers.

It’s been shaped by community voices, and we’d love to hear yours too.

The footpath under Windang Bridge will be temporarily closed from Monday 15 June while essential repair works are carried out.

The closure is expected to remain in place for approximately two weeks to allow for stabilisation and reinstatement of the path.

During this time there will be increased vehicle activity through Pelican Park transporting equipment and materials for the works. We appreciate your cooperation during this time.

Recent inspections have found the historic fig tree stump and nature play structure at Little Park, Shellharbour have been significantly impacted by termite damage.

This has compromised the safety and integrity of both the stump and the play structure and as a result, they will be removed to ensure the playground remains safe for everyone.

We recognise the significance of this space. While the rest of the playground will remain unchanged, we’ll consider options for a replacement nature play element as part of our future Capital Works Program.
