Community of St Patricks River District Tasmania We bring together and represent our community and care for and protect its environment and assets.

The association strives to support local infrastructure and being a voice to local council and state government. The Nunamara Memorial Hall is maintained by the Progress Association, and relies on the community to support it as volunteers providing ongoing maintenance, and supporting its long standing role of bringing the locals together.

St Patrick’s River Valley District Progress Association

In general terms the St Patricks River Valley comprises the area that runs along the Tasman Highway between St Leonards and the Sideling and encompasses the path of St Patricks River and Mount Barrow.

Settlements in the area are Nunamara, Patersonia, St Patricks River, Myrtle Bank, Myrtle Park, Lisle and Tayene. Its history is based on the timber industry, mining and agriculture.

The Progress Association is a not for profit community group that represents the interests of the residents of the valley, promotes the history and attractions of the valley and holds events that are aimed at building a sense of community spirit and pride.
