Here we go again folks.

As far as I know there will be a general meeting held at Numeralla Bush Fire Brigade Station, in Numeralla on 23 June 2026, commencing at 6pm. Once I confirm this I will repost.

The Brigade is currently updating its membership list.
It has come to our attention that some members are either no longer available or only partially available. To keep our records accurate, we want to clearly identify:
· Members who are available,
· Those who are available on a limited basis, and
· Those who are no longer available.
The attached memo identifies steps under consideration to ensure our membership list reflects the current situation.
Membership Confirmation of Removal - Numeralla Bush Fire Brigade

A. Service Standard 1.1.21, Brigade Membership Removal
DEAR MEMBER

1. It was voted at the Numeralla Bush Fire Brigade meeting on 23 April 2026 that the brigade wishes to remove the names of previous members who have been inactive for years from the Brigade Register as provisioned at Reference A, paragraph 2.12. Were it possible to locate a means of communication with every member of the Brigade that avenue would have been used. Unfortunately the Brigade’s records are incomplete and in some case well out-of-date.
2. There will be a general meeting held at Numeralla Bush Fire Brigade Station, in Numeralla on 23 June 2026, commencing at 6pm. It is intended that a motion will be considered at the meeting asking the District Manager to remove the names of inactive members from the brigade register. As is always the case all members are more than welcome to attend and address this meeting if you wish to do so.
3. Should you wish to remain a member of the Numeralla Bush Fire Brigade I encourage you to reach out to your Brigade Captain, Terry Meyers, or myself within 21 days of this letter being posted.
4. Should you decide you no longer wish to remain a member of Numeralla Bush Fire Brigade you can choose one of the following options:
a. Send a written resignation to the Brigade Secretary; or
b. Do nothing.
5. If the motion is passed and you wish to appeal this decision, please contact the District Manger within 21 days of the meeting date.

It is with a great deal of sadness that we advise of the passing of Margaret Baron from Peak View.
Many of us recall Margaret from her many years of involvement in District activities including the Peak View Brigade, the NDAI and the Numeralla Folk Festival and other organisations.
Our condolences to Ray and family for their loss.

Notice of Jerangle AGM

Jerangle Rural Fire Brigade will be holding their Annual General Meeting at the Jerangle Fire Station, Jerangle Rd, Jerangle at 7pm Thursday 4 June.
All Brigade members are encouraged to attend.
Monaro’s new Fire Control Officer, Lachlan Gilchrist will be attending to meet the Brigade’s membership and act in the role of Returning Officer for Brigade elections.

Numeralla Bush Fire Brigade offers heartfelt condolences to the families, friends, Marine Rescue NSW members, and everyone impacted by the Ballina Bar tragedy.

We mourn the loss of life from both Marine Rescue NSW and those aboard the vessel they responded to.

Here's our old trusty catering unit. To be fair it hasn't seen much use lately.
One of the first things I learnt when I joined the Brigade was not to put out the fire until lunch was cooked 🤣.

Unfortunately, due to a failure to reach a quorum the Annual General Meeting will need to be rescheduled.
The Brigade Executive will meet early next week to discuss issues and work out the way ahead. Current thinking is that the AGM will be held 6-8 weeks from now.

And HR20 is off and going. The next few days will involve consolidation and control.
Local residents may experience smoke depending on which way the wind is blowing.
A special thanks to our neighbouring Brigades for assistance.

Quick clip from our last attempt at HR20. Despite the good weather I seem to recall we had a bit of a wet patch the days before. Never mind, good old drip torch will fix it.

I'm beginning to think one shouldn't keep records of our past endeavours. At least this one doesn't show anything embarrassing...I hope.
