Dairy Farm Manager - Full-Time Position - South West Victoria
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Dairy Farm Manager to join a progressive, family-owned dairy operation in South West Victoria. Located near Nullawarre, just minutes from Timboon, Cobden, Terang, Warrnambool and the Great Ocean Road, this is an excellent opportunity to enjoy a fantastic rural lifestyle while leading a modern and productive dairy business.
About the Farm
At Glenhaven we operate a well-established dairy enterprise milking approximately 500 high producing Holstein/Fresian cows through a 50-unit fully automated rotary dairy, supported by modern equipment and technology. Our focus is on milk production, herd health, breeding, animal welfare and efficient farm management, while maintaining a positive and supportive workplace.
The Role
As Dairy Farm Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the dairy and lead a small team to achieve high standards of production and animal care.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Managing daily dairy operations and supervising staff
• Overseeing milking routines and maintaining milk quality standards
• Herd health management, including calving, vaccinations, drenching and stock handling
• Feeding livestock using tractors, mixer wagons and feed-out equipment
• Pasture and cropping activities including silage, harrowing and paddock preparation
• Machinery operation and maintenance
• Fencing and general farm maintenance
• Staff rostering and maintaining safe work practices
• Record keeping and working towards production and business goals
About You
The successful applicant will have:
• Previous dairy farm management or supervisory experience
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience operating modern dairy and agricultural machinery
• Excellent livestock handling and herd management knowledge
• A current Australian Driver Licence
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
• A positive attitude, reliability and attention to detail
• Ability to work weekends on a rotating roster
• Full Australian working rights
