At Nowra Youth Centre, our door is always open. If you need a chat, some support, or just a safe place to hang out, come in and say hello. 💛

💛 International Day of Charity 💛

The Youthie, officially known as Nowra Youth Services Incorporated, is proud to be a registered ACNC charity, supporting young people across our community.

At the Youthie, that means creating a safe, welcoming space with practical support, food, programs, advocacy, connection and people who care.

Today we celebrate the volunteers, supporters and community members who help make that possible. 🫶

🌈 The Rainbow Room 🌈

Our Rainbow Room project is led by an experienced Youth Worker and LGBTQIA+ advocate, and is all about inclusivity, belonging, identity and connection.

It’s a safe, welcoming space for young people to explore who they are, ask questions, find support, or simply have a chat with someone who gets it.

💙 An update from Nowra Youth Centre

Following Shoalhaven City Council’s motion regarding the future sale of our current premises, our priority remains clear: ensuring our services continue for local young people—both now and into the future.

We look forward to working positively with Council to secure a safe, accessible, and welcoming new home for the Centre, and to carefully plan any transition so our young people continue receiving the support they need.

We have also been incredibly touched by the outpouring of community support since the news was announced. Reading your beautiful comments and hearing from such a diverse range of young people, families, former participants, organisations and community members has meant more than we can say. Thank you. 💙

Our premises may change, but our purpose, our people and our commitment to young people remain firmly in place.

We’ll continue to keep our community informed as discussions progress.
