The Shire of Northam was delighted to welcome Perth Glory to Northam ahead of their fixture at Henry Street Oval on Saturday 3 October.

The team visited numerous locations around town including:
- Bilya Koort Boodja
- Northam Aquatic Facility
- Town Murals
- CBH Grain Silos

Can you spot the flashback photo from the team's last visit to Northam?

The team spent time visiting local primary schools, inspiring students, sharing their passion for football, and creating memorable experiences for our young people. Their visit helped build excitement for the upcoming match while highlighting the positive role sport can play in encouraging active, connected, and healthy communities.

We thank the team at Perth Glory for taking the time to visit our schools and engage with local students. Opportunities such as these provide valuable inspiration for young people and help strengthen the connection between regional communities and professional sport.

We look forward to welcoming players, supporters, and visitors back to Henry Street Oval for what promises to be a fantastic day of community sport.

The Shire of Northam is offering grants of $2,001โ€“$10,000 (ex. GST) to support projects that make a lasting difference in our community.

Funding is available for:
Strategic projects
Major community events
Building upgrades
Club development initiatives

Whether you're planning a strategic plan, committee training, a major community event, or another project that strengthens community connections, we'd love to hear from you.

We're proud to see the impact previous grant recipients have made. One of the 2025/26 recipients, St John WA, has equipped local ambulance crews with Starlink unitsโ€”making a real difference where it matters most. During a recent remote truck rollover in an area with no mobile coverage, paramedics and emergency responders remained fully connected, coordinating efforts, sharing critical updates, and focusing on patient care without interruption.
