Seller $1 a bird. Free to public bidding.

Auction time 10 am until stop at 11.30 am.

Mark your calendars now for the 2026 Northam Farmers Show and make sure your Northam Agricultural Society membership is sorted before our upcoming AGM.

Our show wouldn’t be possible without the support of our community. If you’ve ever thought about volunteering, we would absolutely love to hear from you. We’re a small, passionate committee and are always keen to welcome new faces, whether you can help a little or a lot.

💛 Volunteer opportunities include:
• Show day support (odd jobs & general help)
• Office and admin assistance
• Catering & kitchen help
• Pavilion support
• Animal stewards
• Stall assistance
• Young Farmers challenges
• Horses & livestock areas
• Gates, set-up and pack-down
• Plus plenty of behind-the-scenes planning in the lead up to the Show

🚨 We’re looking for a few good humans to join the WA Next Gen committee!

If you’re aged 18–35, love the buzz of a good ag show, and reckon you’ve got a bit to offer behind the scenes — now’s your chance.

👩‍🌾 We’re on the hunt for:
• Keen beans to help run events
• People with social media know-how
• Anyone who wants to get involved in shaping the next chapter of WA’s ag shows

🧑‍⚖️ Available roles:

General committee
Plus a dedicated Communications Officer (social media focus)

🕐 What’s involved?
Monthly-ish online meetings
Helping at the Perth Royal Show (mostly the long weekend)
Occasional regional show support, based on where you live
A solid crew, networking, hands-on experience, and an infrequent free feed 😉

🌾 Congratulations to WA’s 2025 Rural Ambassador!

The Royal Agricultural Society of WA has announced Tiffany Davey from Goomalling as the 2025 WA Rural Ambassador.

Tiffany has been recognised for her commitment to community involvement and her passion for promoting agricultural education.

Runner up for the program was Nell Eastough from Yuna, she has been acknowledged for her work in agricultural community volunteering and stewarding.

The Rural Ambassador program celebrates young leaders across regional Australia, supporting those who are making a real difference in agriculture, agribusiness, and rural development.

🌾2025 NORTHAM YOUNG FARMERS CHALLENGE – EVENT WRAP 🌾

One of the standout moments from this year’s Northam Show was the Young Farmers Challenge, where local legends rolled swags, bandaged legs, built the straightest strainers in the west, and showed off some seriously sharp teamwork 💪🐓🔥

👏 A huge congratulations to our winning team featuring Kaitlyn Oliver, Portia Allen, Patrick Scally and Zachary Antonio – who tackled each challenge with grit, laughs and a bit of wind in their hair. The future of ag’s looking strong!

This event continues to grow thanks to the passion of our young competitors, the energy of our volunteers, and the generosity of our community:

💵 And to Northam Glass and Lachlan Hunter MP – your support gave the teams a real incentive to give it their all!
