🚨 Join the Fight: Volunteer Bushfire Fighters Needed! 🚨
Did you know there are two types of Fire Brigades in Northam Shire? The Volunteer Fire & Rescue Service (VFRS) and Bushfire Service (BFS), plus the Avon Districts Support Brigade and State Emergency Services (SES) brigades – all working hard to keep our community safe!
🔥 9 Bushfire Brigades are spread across the Shire, including in Inkpen, Wundowie, Irishtown, Bakers Hill, Clackline-Muresk, Grass Valley Jennapullin, Southern Brook, and Northam itself!
🚒 Northam Central Bushfire Brigade is currently looking for Active and Auxiliary members to help protect our community from dangerous incidents like the one that threatened lives and homes in West Northam just last Friday.
💪 The best part about volunteering? Flexibility! Whether you can commit to weekends, are FIFO, or prefer to support with equipment checks or administrative tasks, your help matters! What you can, when you can.
