A Total Fire Ban has been declared for tomorrow across multiple districts in Victoria, including the Central District (Melbourne & Geelong).

No fires can be lit or allowed to remain alight in the open air from 12:01am to 11:59pm.

Corio CFA is now recruiting volunteer firefighters. If you have ever thought about jumping on a fire truck to help your own and other communities across Victoria, and you live in the Northern suburbs of Geelong, now is your chance!

People from all walks of life are welcome, but if you have good weekday, daytime availability you are strongly encouraged to apply. Applicants will be contacted to schedule interviews in the order they're received, so get in early to avoid disappointment.

We are extremely proud of Bradley Coulter, one of our own Corio Fire Brigade volunteers, who is taking part in CFA’s first Remote Arduous Firefighting program. Brad has been a key leader in this pilot, helping shape the team and its capability to respond to fires in remote and hard to reach areas. A fantastic achievement and a true credit to Brad.👏

As we welcome the New Year, we’d like to wish our community a very happy, safe, and prosperous year ahead. 🎆

Throughout 2025, our brigade responded to 250 calls.

To our community, thank you for your ongoing support, trust, and kindness. And to our members and their families. Thank you for the countless hours, sacrifices, and teamwork that keep our community safe.

Here’s to another year of looking out for one another. Stay safe, and Happy New Year from all of us. 🚒🔥
