Are you going to be part of Emma Hack's epic human artwork at Port Willunga Beach this Sunday morning from 7:30am? It's not too late! Registrations close at midnight tonight 👉 https://www.emmahackgallery.com/products/leafy-seadragon-installation

The experience is open to anyone aged 18 and over, with a minimum $20 registration fee. Proceeds will go towards supporting the artwork, future Ocean Movement projects and marine conservation efforts, including reef protection and habitat restoration.

Captured from above using drone photography and film, the large-scale installation will transform participants into a living artwork, with the final images and documentary set to be shared globally.

City of Onkaparinga Mid Coast Ward councillor Gretel Wilkes this week tendered her resignation, effective today.

Gretel was elected to Council in November 2022 representing the Mid Coast Ward.

As the vacancy on Council occurs within 12 months of a periodic election, a supplementary election to fill the vacant Mid Coast Ward councillor position isn’t required.

City of Onkaparinga CEO Sharon Mason acknowledged the contribution Gretel has made to her community and her service in the chamber, wishing her well in her future endeavours.

The next local government elections will be held in November 2026.

Our Social Connections Program relies on volunteers to support older people get out of the house, connect and enjoy social outings. Participants are over 65 and independent in their personal care.

As a volunteer, you will:

🤍 Support participants during outings and activities
🤍 Help build confidence and increase social interaction
🤍 Liaise between the participants and the coordinator
🤍 Support the bus driver with navigation and communication.

We’re looking for people who are:

✅ Friendly, compassionate, and great communicators
✅ Patient, encouraging and supportive
✅ Keen to help others stay active and connected.

Our program runs weekdays from 8am to 4pm.
