Find an upcoming regional information session near you in NSW! 📍

Join Stakeholder Engagement Officer (Inland NSW), Beth, for a toolbox talk and prepare for grain harvest. These sessions are for drivers, transport operators, farmers and more to shed light on requirements around Chain of Responsibility, fatigue, access, and changing requirements around moving agricultural machinery.

An online session is available for those who can't attend in person.

Road closures will be in place as part of Stage 2 (South) works on Yan Yean Road in Victoria.

Driver advice:
• Take extra care on the sharp Plenty Gorge bend on Kurrak Rd.
• Avoid Yan Yean Rd/Greensborough Bypass.
• Use Plenty Rd via M80 Ring Road for north–south travel.

Funded by NHVR's Heavy Vehicle Safety Initiative's (HVSI) grant program, and supported by the Australian Government, the National Road Safety Partnership Program (NRSPP) has launched its translated toolbox talk videos which are now available for industry to access for free online.

These toolbox talks were developed alongside an industry working group representing diverse non-English speaking backgrounds, to provide practical heavy vehicle health and safety information. This project aims to improve accessibility, understanding and engagement across culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

This World Environment Day, we’re reminding the transport industry to drive towards a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable future. The NHVR’s Heavy Vehicle Safety Initiative (HVSI) is working to support the Bus Industry Confederation's 'Transition to Zero Emission Buses' project. The project builds a series of industry updates that support operators to navigate emerging technologies while maintaining safety standards.

Projects like these are helping pave the way for positive change across industry. By working together, we can support the transition to zero emissions transport.
