Franz Kafka is best known as author of The Trial, Metamorphosis, The Castle. It has recently been announced that hundreds of his private letters (in German), sketches and papers have been digitized by The National Library of Israel, and are now available for the world to peruse, on that library’s website.

Franz Kafka is considered a key figure in the annals of modern world literature. Much of his original work is preserved today at the National Library of Israel.
