Swimming 2 You Swimming 2 You is a private swim school that offers busy families learn to swim lessons in the comfo

Ideal for the busy family, Swimming 2 You is a new provider of Learn to Swim lessons in the Newcastle area. We offer not only conveneince but also flexibility with our home based local lessons in Merewether or a mobile service where we come to you. Our private 1:1 or 2:1 lessons are ideal for accelerated learning, especially for the non swimmer eager to learn or those that are nervous about group lessons. Mothers groups are also catered for with specifically designed lessons for mums and bubs.

It has been a while since my last post but I happy to announce that our fun filled 2016/2017 summer of swimming fun will commence October 24 2016. YAY!
Existing clients have until August 21 to contact me and re book. After this date I will accept new clients, so please let me know if you are coming back as I have a long wait list already and would hate anyone to miss out.

A timely reminder for all parents from Austswim's Swim and Survive Program to KEEP WATCH around water:

"Parents and carers can help reduce the risk of child drowning, by being water aware and teaching their children valuable water safety skills from an early age.

Keep Watch is a public education program of Royal Life Saving Society - Australia, aimed at preventing drowning deaths of children under five in all aquatic locations. The four principle strategies of the Keep Watch program are:

Supervise your Child
Always be within arms’ reach. Give your child all of your attention, all of the time.

Restrict Access to Water
Provide barriers to water locations.

Be Water Aware
Introduce your child to water through water awareness classes; discuss hazards and put rules in place at aquatic locations.

Learn Resuscitation
Resuscitation is a skill for life. A rapid response is the best response in an emergency."

With only 3 weeks until Spring and 16 until Summer it's time again to think about those all important swim lessons for the kids. Swimming 2 You is a great alternative to large swim schools and we cater to all ages and abilities.
Bookings are now open for the 2015/2016 season with exsisting clients to please confirm your bookings by Sunday August 16. New clients are most welcome and remember to Just Keep Swimming!

Another great season is drawing to a close, only two weeks left of our 2014/2015 season. I will thank Friday and Saturday parents who have now finished this season (as I will be away from 12 noon this Friday), for their continued support and wish Abby, Isaac, Eli and Eddie all the best as they are moving on to further their swimming.

I would also encourage all parents to look at continuing swimming lessons/squads for term 2 as the children are full of confidence at the moment with vast improvement in stroke/skills from everyone. To keep this momentum going would make a huge difference come summer time. Something to think about!!

Sorry everyone, more swim carnival news…great effort by Louis to gain a 2nd place ribbon for his 50m freestyle and not to be out done his sister Olivia came home with two 1st, 1 2nd and 1 3rd place. For a once a week swimmer WOW!

An extra special mention to an ex student of mine Taj who competing in his first carnival came home in first place in his 50m freestyle and is now off to zone next week. Congratulations Champ very proud of you!

Swimming carnival results coming in thick and fast. A big thank you to all the parents for the updates. Very proud of all the Swimming 2 You children who swam to help their team/house. Special mention to Mia, Abby, Delphie and Riley (who came 3rd in his freestyle) for competing in their first carnival and to Barnett boys for participating in all events. A terrific effort boys, well done!
