it out! 3rd Annual shOUT Film Festival is on its way! A platform for cinema which you might otherwise miss, a festival to let the voices of the international LGBTIQ filmmaking community be heard and a celebration of the kaleidoscope of colours that makes up the intricate tapestry of the LGBTIQ community to which we all belong. Watch out for it in Canberra, Newcastle, Coffs Habour & Gold Coast. The

2013 festival will open on the International Day Against Homophobia & Transphobia (IDAHO), Friday 17 May and will run across the weekend, closing on the 19 May. In the lead up to our 2013 festival, shOUT and Q***r Screen will be showing some of the best q***r films on the first Sunday of each month @ 2pm at Tower Cinemas, King Street Newcastle. Tickets for each session are $15 and can be purchased via GENoz or on the door. So keep your eyes on our page for more details on each film.

WHAT A YEAR! Thankyou to everyone who attended the shOUT Film Festival this year in Canberra, Newcastle, Coffs Harbour & Gold Coast. Thankyou to everyone involved including cinema staff at Birch Carroll & Coyle Coolangatta, Coffs Harbour Birch, Carroll & Coyle Cinemas, Tower Cinemas Newcastle, Capitol Cinemas Manuka and Shane Bitney Crone for coming from the states to attend the IDAHO screening of Bridegroom Movie and of course all of our festival partners who made this year's festival possible!

This Aussie Film is touching, heartfelt and really does highlight the struggles that LGBT teens face in Australia including homophobic abuse and violence leading to mental health issues and depression.
