The Wetlands Environmental Education Centre is a Department of Education school located at Hunter Wetlands Centre, Australia, a 45 hectare eco-park located west of Newcastle in the Hunter Region of NSW. It includes natural, rehabilitated and artificial wetlands surrounded by landscaped gardens attracting many wetland animals, including over 200 bird species throughout the year. The school's curric

ulum based education programs are offered through a purpose built centre, which includes administration spaces, a classroom, science laboratory and theatre. The centre caters for fieldwork excursions for students on site and at a variety of locations around the Hunter Region, at all levels of schooling and reflects the NSW curriculum outcomes and DEC Environmental Education Policy for Schools requirements.
