Today our lawn bowls Rec group want to remind us to stop and check in — with ourselves and with the people around us.

Life’s ups and downs happen to all of us, and you don’t need to be an expert to have a meaningful conversation. Sometimes simply asking “Are you OK?”, listening and giving someone your time is just what they need.

And while today is a great day to ask the question, looking out for each other shouldn’t stop here. Because a conversation on any day could change a life.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A 5-star review! Our Community Education Team recently received a fantastic review from Alesco Secondary College – Northlakes Campus. 🙌

A big shoutout to our presenters Shaun, Bil, Ricki and Colin, with Scott also part of the team (not pictured). Great job!

The students asked some wonderful questions, with the campus coordinator sharing: 💬 “The initial presentation from Heather was very informative. The stories were eye opening and very impactful!”

Community education about acquired brain injury – plus how it can be prevented – is a core part of what we stand for at Headstart.

Headstart Acquired Brain Injury Services is looking for a Finance Manager to join our team in Hamilton, Newcastle. This is a senior role overseeing our financial operations, reporting, budgeting and compliance, while working closely with our CEO and Management Team.

But at Headstart, it’s about more than numbers.

Your financial expertise will help us continue supporting people living with acquired brain injury to build independence, develop life skills and stay connected with their communities.

📍 Hamilton, Newcastle NSW
⏰ 4 days per week – (alternative arrangements may be considered for the right candidate)
📋 Fixed-term contract
💰 $63.13–$65.77 per hour + NFP salary packaging benefits
📅 Applications close: 14 September 2026
