Council reserves the right to remove certain content such as illegal or offensive material and we do moderate where needed. Material that is unreasonably critical of Council and any comments of a political nature will be deleted. By liking this page, please observe the following rules to ensure your voice is heard.

๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธ Glebe Road and The Avenue Pedestrian Works ๐Ÿšง

Pedestrian refuge and pram ramp construction works on Glebe Road and The Avenue are scheduled to commence on Wednesday, 10 June, and are expected to be completed by late June.

The works include:
โœ… Construction of new pram ramps on Glebe Road and The Avenue
โœ… Installation of a new pedestrian refuge on Glebe Road
โœ… Construction of new concrete footpath sections

๐Ÿšฆ Traffic management will be in place throughout the works, with only minor delays expected. Please follow all traffic management directions and signage for your safety and the safety of workers.

๐ŸŒŸ EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST NOW OPEN ๐ŸŒŸ

Proposed Activation of Council Land for Public Events

Derwent Valley Council is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOIs) from individuals, businesses, community groups and event organisers interested in delivering regular and recurring public events on Council-owned land across the municipality.

Council is looking for proposals that activate public spaces on an ongoing basis and contribute to community vibrancy, visitation and the local economy.

We are particularly interested in:
๐ŸŽถ Recurring live music and entertainment
๐Ÿ›๏ธ Regular markets and twilight markets
๐Ÿ” Food and cultural events
๐ŸŽญ Seasonal activations and community events
โœจ Creative and ongoing public space activations

Proposals may include weekly, fortnightly, or monthly.

Please note: this EOI process is intended for ongoing or recurring event concepts, rather than one-off event applications.

Applicants are responsible for addressing the Evaluation Criteria and Methodology outlined within the EOI document as part of their submission.
