🏁🚑 Day 2 of the 2026 NSW State Go Kart Championships is Underway! 🚑🏁

The racing action continues today as competitors from across New South Wales battle it out on the track in Round 1 of the NSW State Series Championships.

Members from VRA Rescue NSW Narromine are once again on site providing medical support throughout the weekend, ensuring drivers, officials and spectators can enjoy the event safely.

We’d like to wish all teams and drivers the very best of luck for today’s racing. May your lap times be fast, your overtakes be clean, and your engines stay together for the entire day! 🏎️💨

While the drivers are competing for trophies and championship points, our members will be standing by ready to assist if needed. Fortunately, our favourite type of race is the one where everyone goes home safely at the end of the day. 💚

If you’re heading out to the track today, come along and enjoy some fantastic racing. Just remember—keep hydrated, wear your sunscreen, and if you hear sirens, it should only be because someone set a new lap record… not because they’ve discovered the coffee van has run out! ☕😂

🏁🚑 VRA Rescue NSW Narromine Supporting Round 1 of the 2026 NSW State Series Championships 🚑🏁

Members from VRA Rescue NSW Narromine are on site this weekend providing medical support as the best drivers from across the state battle it out in Round 1 of the 2026 NSW State Series Go Kart Championships.

The momentum is building, the competitors are ready, and it’s time for the famous words:

“Drivers, start your engines!” 🏎️💨

We’d like to wish all drivers, teams, officials the very best of luck for a safe and successful weekend of racing. While the drivers will be chasing podium finishes, our members will be standing by to ensure everyone gets home safely at the end of the day.

If you’re looking for an exciting weekend filled with speed, skill, and plenty of action, come on down and check out Round 1 of the State Championships. Just remember—the only thing moving faster than the karts should be the queue for the coffee van! ☕😂

Tonight, members from VRA Rescue NSW Narromine were back on the tools, sharpening their skills in the use of High Pressure Airbag Systems and Air Struts during a hands-on training session. 💪

Training like this ensures our members remain rescue-ready for incidents involving heavy lifting, vehicle stabilisation, and complex rescue situations — because when the call comes in, there’s no time to “YouTube it” on scene. 😅

A great night of teamwork, learning, problem solving, and plenty of cribbing blocks scattered everywhere as usual!

A big thank you to all members who gave up their evening to continue building their skills and capability for the community. 💚

“Your Year to Volunteer” — See Yourself in Green.

This week, we proudly recognise and thank the incredible volunteers of VRA Rescue NSW Narromine.

Our members give up their time away from family, friends, work, holidays, birthdays and sleep to answer the call whenever our community needs help. Whether it’s training nights, rescues, community events, storm response, searches, medical standby or supporting other emergency services — our volunteers are always ready to step forward.

Behind every volunteer is also a family who supports them. To our partners, children, parents, employers and loved ones — thank you. Thank you for the late nights, interrupted dinners, missed occasions and constant support that allows our members to do what they do. Without you, volunteering simply wouldn’t be possible.

Volunteering isn’t just about wearing a uniform — it’s about commitment, teamwork, compassion and serving the community with pride. We are incredibly proud of every single member who puts on the green shirt and represents VRA Rescue NSW Narromine.

🚨 Rescue Response 🚨

Earlier today, VRA Rescue NSW Narromine members responded alongside emergency services to a 2-vehicle motor vehicle accident in the Narromine area.

On arrival, crews were faced with one person trapped within a vehicle. Working together with all responding agencies, rescue personnel safely extricated the patient, who was then transported to hospital for further treatment.

Incidents like these are a reminder of the importance of teamwork, training, and the coordinated efforts of all emergency services involved.

A big thank you to all agencies on scene for their professionalism and teamwork under challenging conditions. 💚

Please be advised the Mitchell Highway at Narromine is currently reduced to one lane due to a motor vehicle accident.

Motorists are urged to slow down, exercise caution, and follow directions from emergency services personnel on scene. Expect delays and allow extra travel time if possible.

☀️ The sun’s out… and so are the chefs of Team Green! 💚🌭

Today our members from Parkes SRG are at Bunnings Forbes, serving up sausages, cold drinks and plenty of smiles for a great cause.

And with it being Mother’s Day, what better way to spoil Mum than a Bunnings snag while supporting VRA Rescue NSW Western SRG 🌸💐

We even chucked a couple of members from VRA Rescue NSW Narromine over there to help out… mainly to make sure nobody burns the onions! 😂👨‍🚒🔥

We’re usually cutting cars apart, stabilising incidents, and responding to emergencies… but today the only thing under pressure is the BBQ hotplate.

If you’re around Forbes, swing past, grab a feed, say g’day to the team, and help support the local community.

This Sunday, 10th May, the legends from VRA Rescue NSW Parkes SRG are taking over the BBQ at Bunnings Forbes… and we’ve been told “don’t burn the onions this time” 😅
Come down, grab a snag, support Team Green, and check out the big rescue trucks 🚑🚨
(Yes kids can climb around them… and yes, the adults are absolutely allowed to act like excited 5-year-olds too 👀)
