🚚 We’re expanding our electric vehicle fleet to deliver hard waste services across Casey, helping to reduce emissions and support a more sustainable future.
⚡ From 1 July 2026, six fully electric compactor trucks will be out collecting hard waste and dumped rubbish, backed by additional electric vehicles to keep services running smoothly.
🚚 This move means less diesel use and lower carbon emissions, quieter collections in your neighbourhood and more reliable services amid rising fuel costs
⚡ It’s all part of our commitment to reducing our environmental footprint while continuing to deliver essential services for our community.
Need a collection? Book your hard waste pick-up here: https://www.casey.vic.gov.au/hard-waste-collections

Casey’s urban forest, made up of trees, shrubs, green spaces and natural systems, plays a vital role in cooling our neighbourhoods, supporting biodiversity and helping us adapt to climate change.

🎥 Check out this video to hear from Casey Councillors and learn more about Greening Casey - our plan for building our climate resilience and creating places people love… including a commitment to plant 25,000 trees and 185,000 shrubs over the next two years.

Did you know you can borrow a free Energy and Water Efficiency Home Audit Kit from your local library to measure household energy use, find draughts, and test water flow?

That's exactly what Matt did, and he later received a rebate of $200 to draught proof his home - kickstarting his efforts to make his home more sustainable. ♻️🏡

Making your home more sustainable can help lower utility bills, protect against rising energy costs, and even boost your property value.

Get started with a free audit kit from your local Connected Libraries branch 👉 www.connectedlibraries.org.au

💡We're lighting up Pearcedale’s ovals for the future of local sport

Big things are happening at Pearcedale Recreation Reserve, with a major lighting upgrade switched on last night to bring safer, brighter and more inclusive evening sport to the community.

✨ We’ve replaced the ageing lighting at both the Eastern and Western ovals with new AFL standard lighting which will allow local clubs to train and play safely at night.

This upgrade builds on other recent upgrades at the reserve, including the new pavilion, upgraded netball courts and the recently completed playground and skate park.
