Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary

Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary Historic Wildlife Sanctuary located at 47 Stock Road, Mylor, in the beautiful Adelaide Hills of SA Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary is a national treasure.

It was founded in 1969 by Dr John Wamsley and his wife Proo. The Sanctuary is home to platypus, koalas, wallabies, bandicoots... It is testament to what can be achieved by passionate members of the public. The fox, cat, and rabbit proof fence around the Sanctuary was revolutionary when first erected. Today it stands as proof that Australian native animals flourish when introduced predators are rem

oved from their environment. On January 6 2017, Warrawong Wildlife Sanctuary was purchased by Narelle MacPherson and David Cobbold. They consider themselves custodians of a legacy, and aim to restore the Sanctuary for the benefit of animals and humans alike. PAGE RULES:

After almost five years, Marvel the Peregrine Falcon has finally made her debut, and what a special moment it was!
Marvel's journey has taken patience and dedication to build her confidence and prepare her for this next chapter. Seeing her calmly meeting visitors and showcasing the incredible abilities of Australia's fastest bird has made every step worthwhile.

A huge thank you to Keeper Angus, whose experience, patience and commitment have been instrumental in helping Marvel reach this milestone after so many years. The bond between trainer and bird is built on trust, and it's been wonderful to watch their relationship grow over the past few months.

We can't wait for more guests to meet Marvel and learn about these remarkable raptors. Be sure to say hello when you visit the Sanctuary!

πŸ¦…β€οΈ A wonderful achievement for both Marvel and Angus.
