Last Wednesday, 9 September, 19 Stage 3 students, primarily Year 6 from Muswellbrook South Public School, travelled to Scone to participate in what was, for most, their last opportunity to represent our school at a sporting event before they head off to high school next year.
We fielded two mixed teams, with girls and boys playing together to encourage team spirit and camaraderie.
Each team played four games throughout the day, displaying high levels of enthusiasm, determination, and excellent teamwork.
Although it was a gala day focused on fun, the students were determined to score plenty of tries and play their best.
On the field, players demonstrated outstanding sportsmanship and on-field behaviour, supporting one another throughout each match.
We would like to extend our thanks to the parents who came along to cheer on the children and assist with setting up the gazebo; their support was much appreciated. A special thank you also goes to Mrs Smith for helping train the teams and for her ongoing support on the day.
Overall, the event was a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase their skills, enjoy some friendly competition, and create lasting memories with their peers as they prepare to take their next steps into high school.
