This , every sighting helps build a clearer picture of how our feathered friends are faring.

You can get involved from your own backyard or join experts from the Hunter Bird Observers Club (HBOC) for a relaxed morning of birdwatching along Muscle Creek. Everyone is welcome!

πŸ“ Muscle Creek. Meet at the Muswellbrook Golf Club car park.

Wear closed shoes and bring binoculars if you have them.

Count birds for 20 minutes and submit your sightings via the Aussie Bird Count app or at aussiebirdcount.org.au.

The 13th annual festival brought a celebration of creativity, storytelling and Australian filmmaking to Denman, with this year’s theme, Treasure, inspiring a diverse range of films.

♻️ New and improved Bulky Waste Service has launched!

We've listened to your feedback and made it easier to dispose of large household items, with more flexibility and choice.

Eligible households now receive two (2) bulky waste entitlements each financial year (1 July – 30 June).

Choose how to use them:
🎟️ 2 Waste Disposal Vouchers; OR
πŸš› 2 Bulky Waste Pickups; OR
πŸ”„ 1 of each

Each booked pickup or voucher visit uses one entitlement.

πŸ“¬ Information letters have been mailed to eligible households and should arrive within a week.

Council crews are responding to a water main break in the Common, between Queen Street and Coal Road, Muswellbrook.

Residents in the King Street area will experience a temporary loss of water supply while emergency repairs are undertaken.

Crews are working to restore supply as soon as possible. At this stage, an estimated restoration time is not available.

We apologise for the inconvenience and thank residents for their patience.
