✨Murbah Youth Fest 2026✨A recap of an incredible day...

With beautiful weather and a vibrant atmosphere, we celebrated the creativity, talent, and energy of our youth, bringing the community together for a fantastic day of connection.
The festival once again showcased the power of a youth-led, community-driven event, continuing to grow in participation, diversity, and impact💛

Councillor Reece Byrnes opened the festival, following an Acknowledgement to Country and dance from Kids Caring for Country. Thank you to our youth MCs for confidently leading the stage program.

A huge acknowledgement goes to the MCC Youth Action Group, whose leadership, ideas, and commitment were central to the planning and delivery of this event. Their contribution continues to drive the growth and success of Murbah Youth Fest each year.

We sincerely thank Tweed Shire Council as a key partner in Murbah Youth Fest, whose support in the lead-up and on the day was instrumental to its success. Their ongoing commitment to youth-led and community-focused initiatives in Murwillumbah is deeply valued.

The day featured a vibrant mix of activities, including youth market stalls and workshops, youth performances, TOTEM skateboarding, bubble soccer, henna art, and more.

We thank our judging panel-Mikey, Solar, and Tom, for their time, expertise, and support.

A big thank you to our volunteers, MCC staff, MCC students, and youth work experience students for supporting the delivery of the event across the day.

We deeply appreciate the contribution of local services and organisations: The Family Centre, NSW Police, TAFE NSW, NSW Fair Trading, Mission Australia, You and Me Mentoring, headspace (Social Futures), RiverTracks, Poets Out Loud, and Murwillumbah Youth Theatre 🫶

Thank you to our food vendors: Oki Food, Nullum House, 11th Hour Coffee Van, Sno Cones, Iskcon NG/Govindas, and Temperance Zero. Everything was delicious!

We acknowledge the support of Mobile Event Solutions, Tweed Creative Studios (Chantal and Mikey, who worked tirelessly on the day), Herne’s Security Solutions, St John Ambulance, and Solo Bins.

Special thanks to our generous donors and sponsors: Murwillumbah Service Club, Tweed Valley IGA, Coles Murwillumbah, Bakers Delight, Rotary Central, Elders Real Estate, Lions Club, and Crystal Castle. 🫶

🏆 Congratulations to all performers and winners, your creativity and courage made the day truly special. Across the Talent Quest, Battle of the Bands, and Cosplay, we saw outstanding talent and diversity, reflecting the continued growth and community connection at the heart of this youth-led event.

💛 Thank you to everyone who contributed to making Murbah Youth Fest 2026 a success💛
