Our smallest night birds
listen to their call you might be able to identify them in the dark of night by their sound, very small and swift feeding on insects.

Thank goodness for a small group of volunteers helping to maintain the all the other koalas and wildlife species at the centre with endless hours of leaf collection, feeding and cleaning of enclosures

This is becoming a regular event for our koalas - under threat loss of habitat. You can see the tree line in the distance but can you see threat no 2 ?

Thanks to the farmers compassion and calling it in so quickly and our volunteer catcher, it is now safe and enjoying some good green leaf ….

This beautiful mama came in to care around 3 months with gut issues and a little Joey in her pouch that was only 205 grams.

For some reason, we don’t know why, on the coldest of nights she still had that little Joey who was just getting fur out of her pouch.

She has recovered well and her little Joey is now 500 grams 🥰

A little while yet before they will be released back into the wild 😊

This is little Tully - he came into care at the end of March, barely breathing, underweight, dehydrated and starving.

Tully was found on the ground by campers in a campground.

He had signs of chlamydia in one eye, but he’s recovered well, look at him go now, eating everything in sight! 🥰🥰

Great day on Saturday with The Rescue Collective out to Murphys Creek for a Working Bee at our wildlife centre. This group works hard to raise funds to provide care groups with resources, delivers to the door and also put the hands up to provide energetic hard workers.

The big job always on the day cleaning out and re-leafing the koala enclosures, then there’s echidna enclosure, glider enclosures, bird cages etc
Hard yakka whipper snipping weeds and lantana and the endless cleaning of cages.

It’s very hectic supervising and keeping up with jobs for everyone but at the end of the day …wow wow wow …amazing !
