Today, we remember those who lost their lives in the Black Saturday Bushfires 17 years ago.

We also acknowledge the work of our emergency service personnel who risked their lives to support impacted communities during Australia’s most devastating bushfire event.

Currently EMRU and other units have members in the fire areas deployed focused on connection, reassurance and support to help people there.
These CEFs are engaging directly with residents and visitors, sharing up-to-date and accurate information, helping people understand current advice and warnings, and answering questions so individuals can make informed decisions to keep themselves and their families safe.
Well done and thanks team ...

Our VICSES members have been proudly supporting our incredible fire agency partners over the past week as devastating fires continue across parts of the state.

Support roles include Incident Management Team roles at local, regional, and state control centres, staging area and ground support, lighting, and the transport of interstate fire agency personnel to support our Victorian crews.

A special shout-out to our dual SES/CFA members who have also deployed on the front line in a CFA capacity to protect their communities.

It’s times like these that truly showcase the camaraderie and resilience of our emergency services and our community.
