🔥 Planning on burning off around your property?

Before you light up, make sure you call the FireCom Burn Line on 1800 689 958 to register your burn.

Even small, well-managed fires can produce smoke that may cause concerned neighbours to call 000. By notifying FireCom beforehand, emergency services can confirm the burn is controlled and avoid unnecessary callouts.

Registering your burn helps:
✅ Prevent unnecessary emergency responses
✅ Keep local crews available for genuine incidents
✅ Reduce disruption to the community

⚠️ Reminder:
This process only applies to burns *under 2 metres* in size.

Any fire larger than 2 metres requires a Permit to Light Fire from your local Fire Warden before lighting up, go to our website to learn more: bvrfb.org.au/fire-permit

Take a few minutes, follow the right process, and help keep our community safe.

🔥 Thinking of burning off in the coming weeks? Read this and save it for later.

It’s been a hot and dry period, followed by some much-needed rain across our area. As things start to dry out again, many residents will be looking to clear vegetation around their properties.

Our latest infographic covers everything you need to know when burning small piles of vegetation, including:
✅ Checking for fire bans
✅ Preparing your area properly
✅ Monitoring weather conditions
✅ Registering your burn with FireCom

🚒 These simple steps help protect you, your property, and our community, while keeping crews available for genuine emergencies.

📞 If your burn is under 2 metres, call the FireCom Burn Line on 1800 689 958 before lighting up.

For burns larger than 2 metres, a Permit to Light Fire is required. Contact your local Fire Warden to get started.

Take a few minutes, follow the right steps, and plan ahead.

Today, members of our brigade will proudly attend the Mudgeeraba Robina RSL Sub Branch ANZAC Day Sunset Service.

This is a deeply meaningful occasion to pause, reflect, and honour the service and sacrifice of all who have served, and continue to serve, in the Australian and New Zealand armed forces.

ANZAC Day reminds us of the enduring spirit of courage, mateship, and resilience, and gives us a moment to acknowledge those who have served in war, conflict, and peacekeeping operations.

The parade will step off from the Mudgeeraba Village Green at 15:30hrs. We invite our community to join us in paying their respects.

Lest We Forget.
