🍎 Tuckshop Volunteers Needed! 🍎

Our wonderful Tuckshop Convenor, Linda, is looking for a few extra helping hands on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Whether you can spare some time every week, once a fortnight, or just occasionally, every little bit helps and is greatly appreciated. No experience is necessary – Linda is always happy to show you the ropes!

Volunteering in the tuckshop is a great way to support our school community, meet other parents and carers, and make a positive difference for our students.

If you’re interested in helping out, simply pop into the tuckshop and have a chat with Linda.

🏅 Olympics Unleashed at SBSS! 🏅

Last week, our Year 4–6 students were fortunate to take part in the Olympics Unleashed program and hear from Australian Olympian Ellie Beer

Ellie shared her journey to becoming a 400m runner, speaking about the choices she made along the way, the challenges she faced, and the goals she set to help her achieve success. Students gained valuable insights into the dedication, resilience and determination required to compete at the highest level.

One of Ellie’s key messages was to have a go at everything, believe in yourself and never give up on your dreams. Her inspiring story encouraged our students to step outside their comfort zones, embrace opportunities and work towards their own goals.

We would like to thank Ellie for taking the time to visit our school and inspire our students. It was a fantastic opportunity, and we know many students left feeling motivated to set goals, work hard and chase their dreams. ⭐💙💛

🎶🌟 Whole School Assembly – Wednesday 10 June 🌟🎶

Families and community members are warmly invited to join us for our Whole School Assembly on Wednesday 10 June at 2:15pm in the MPC.

We are excited to announce a special performance by Mr Butler and our school band, who have been working hard and are looking forward to showcasing their musical talents.

🥧 Giesler’s Pie Drive Fundraiser is Here! 🥧

Our much-loved Giesler’s Pie Drive is now underway!

Order forms were sent home with the oldest sibling in each family last week. It’s the perfect opportunity to stock up on delicious pies and tasty treats for easy winter meals while supporting our wonderful school community.

📅 Orders and payments are due by Friday 26 June (the last day of Term 2).

💳 Payment Options:
• Bank transfer using the details provided on the order form. Please place your completed order form in the P&C Box at the school office.
• Cash payments can be placed in a labelled envelope, attached to your order form, and deposited in the P&C Box at the school office.

📦 Order Collection:
Orders will be delivered to the school on Wednesday 15 July, the first Wednesday of Term 3. Collection details will be shared closer to the date.

Our Whole School Athletics Carnival will be held on Thursday 18 June! 🏅💙
