The Friends of Tamborine National Park (formerly the Tamborine Bush Volunteers) works with the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service on weed control and revegetation projects in Tamborine National Park. Tamborine Mountain has significant remnant rainforest areas in the centre of a large population centre in south-east Queensland. Projects include clearing degraded areas of weed species and replant

ing with local rainforest trees and understorey plants, plant propagation and nursery work. The Friends of Tamborine National Park have been successful in receiving awards for revegetation work.
