This morning we opened our school for our incoming Prep families of 2027; as well as some new enrolments for next year. Our student leaders shared what makes our school so special .... the people, the caring staff, the fun learning and investigations .... and we couldn't agree more! We look forward to our next 'Meeting Mount Samson' opportunity in Term 3 with our wider community and new enrolments for 2027 😍

Students from Prep to Year 6 will take part in a whole-school dance program delivered by Dance Curriculum Queensland during Week 10 of this term. Information letters were emailed to parents earlier this week with further details. The cost of the program is $20, with full payment due by Wednesday 17 June.

All classes from Prep to Year Six are exploring informative texts in English this term. With a focus on reading and writing tasks aligned to learning in Science and HASS, our students are working towards
demonstrating aspects of the achievement standard for their year level in language and literacy elements.

Aligning to our whole school priority around the explicit teaching of reading, Ms Worthington presented a shared read of 'Luna Roo' to all students from Prep to Year 6 as part of the National Simultaneous Storytime event for 2026 this morning. A great question following the story she presented to students was "If you could ask Luna Roo a question, what would it be?" Luna Roo is now available for borrowing in the library - it has a great message about resilience, overcoming challenges and believing in yourself 😎😎
