๐ Year 8 Japanese | Discovering Kendama
Our Year 8 Japanese students had the opportunity to discover and play Kendama, a traditional Japanese skill toy that combines concentration, coordination and persistence.
Students explored how Kendama is played and practised a range of basic techniques, from catching the ball in the different cups to attempting the challenging spike. The hands-on activity provided a fun and engaging way for students to experience an aspect of Japanese culture while developing new skills.
There was plenty of friendly competition as students challenged themselves and their classmates to master different tricks! ๐ฏ๐ต
A fantastic way to combine cultural learning with an active and engaging classroom experience.
