City of Mount Gambier is proud to celebrate National Volunteer Week from 18 to 24 May 2026. This year’s theme, ‘Your Year to Volunteer’, encourages everyone to get involved and make a difference in our community.
We are fortunate to have so many selfless individuals who generously give their time and energy to making Mount Gambier a better place. Whether it’s through sporting, cultural or service clubs, support groups, emergency services, or other organisations, volunteers are at the heart of what makes our community thrive.
This week, we encourage everyone to not only thank a volunteer, but also consider how you can get involved and contribute your time in the year ahead.
Council extends its sincere gratitude to the volunteers who support a wide range of services across our community, including at the Library, Riddoch Arts and Cultural Centre, ReUse Market, Valley Lake Conservation Park, Youth Activation Group and during various events throughout the year 💖
