Friends of Native Wildlife South East

Friends of Native Wildlife South East Friends of Native Wildlife is a 24hr wildlife rescue service. A volunteer group that care for injured and orphaned wildlife throughout the Limestone Coast.

Friends Of Native Wildlife South East is a volunteer group that started in 2002 after a number of animal rescuers/carers were brought together by a common cause to care for injured and orphaned wildlife throughout the Limestone Coast. Whilst our group is supported by the Department of Environment and Natural Resource, we receive no financial or resource support but rather rely on the generosity of

our members to pay for all costs associated with rescuing and caring for the animals which can be quite expensive. If you would like to donate to FONWSE so that this group of volunteers can
continue with providing this free service to rescue and rehabilitate our wildlife
please send donations to PO Box 8465 Mount Gambier East, 5291. A receipt will be provided if you provide your details.

BREAKING: Greyhound racing will END in Aotearoa New Zealand in a matter of months! A Government announcement has been made today that the cruel industry will be outlawed — a decision that "is driven by protecting the welfare of racing dogs" according to the country's Racing Minister.

This monumental announcement comes after years cruelty revelations and dedicated campaigning by our friends at SAFE, as well as The Greyhound Protection League of New Zealand will be welcomed by an overwhelming majority of New Zealanders who have long called for the cruelty of greyhound racing to end.

Commercial dog racing only exists in a handful of countries around the world — and the global greyhound protection movement continues to gain momentum. With yet another country outlawing greyhound racing on cruelty grounds, the question remains... why do Australian politicians continue to throw their support behind this dying industry?

On behalf of countless gentle, sensitive dogs who will be spared from suffering, THANK YOU to everyone who has worked so hard towards this outcome. Which country will be next to end greyhound racing?
