A huge thank you to everyone who bought tickets and supported our Juniors. We had some fantastic prizes this year, made possible by the generosity of the local businesses who got behind the raffle.

And of course, a big thank you to our Junior members and leaders who put the raffle together, sold tickets and made it all happen.

We really appreciate the support our Juniors receive from the Mt Evelyn community. Every ticket sold helps support their training, activities and development within CFA.

Father's Day Raffle!

Milwaukee & Bahco Tool Pack

Another great prize up for grabs in our 2026 Mt Evelyn CFA Juniors Father's Day Raffle, thanks to the team at Total Tools Kilsyth.

Third Prize is a Milwaukee & Bahco Tool Pack valued at $240.

But Total Tools Kilsyth didn't stop there. They also donated the GearWrench Tool Set that's part of our Fifth Prize, making a fantastic contribution to this year's raffle.

Did you know Mt Evelyn has its own Junior CFA Program?

Most Thursday nights, our junior members aged 11–15 come to the fire station to learn practical firefighting skills, teamwork, leadership, resilience and community service. They're the future of the CFA, and each week they push themselves to become better firefighters, leaders and community members.
Throughout the year our juniors take part in training exercises, community events, camps and fundraising activities that build valuable life skills while giving back to the community they proudly serve.
To help make these opportunities possible, we're excited to launch our 2026 Father's Day Raffle! Every ticket purchased helps support our junior members by funding training, equipment and experiences that prepare the next generation of CFA volunteers.

PLANNED BURN – OWL LAND RESERVE, MT EVELYN (UPDATE)

A great result at Owl Land Reserve today, with the planned burn successfully completed.

Mt Evelyn crews, supported by neighbouring brigades, worked steadily throughout the day to carry out the burn safely and effectively. It’s a solid result in reducing fuel loads in an area we know is high risk, helping to better protect our community heading into future fire seasons.

You may notice some glowing material within the burn area overnight. This is expected and remains contained within the burnt-out area.

Our crews will continue to patrol the site over the next three days to monitor conditions and make sure everything stays safe.

We’re proud of the work done today, and grateful for the support and understanding from our community while this important work was carried out.
