From January 2026, all Australian families eligible for CCS will be guaranteed at least 3 days a week (72 hours per fortnight) of subsidised early childhood education and care.

This landmark change — the 3 Day Guarantee — replaces the Child Care Subsidy Activity Test and means:
✅ Eligible families can save thousands each year
✅ Every child can access vital early learning opportunities
✅ Certainty for families who are working, studying, or looking for work
✅ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families receive 100 hours per fortnight (up to 5 days a week)

🌿 Kuku Yalanji Cultural Habitat Tours – Cooya Beach 🌊

On Saturday Miss Monica, Miss Jayde as well as Miss Tonia and Miss Amanda from our sister centre Goodstart Worree, had the wonderful opportunity to extend their knowledge and understanding through the Kuku Yalanji Cultural Habitat Tours at Cooya Beach.

They explored the rich history of the Mossman area, learning about plants and flowers used for medicine and food, and discovering a room full of history and stories shared by the Kuku Yalanji people.

It was an inspiring experience that deepened our appreciation for how the Kuku Yalanji people protect, practice, and share their culture, connecting deeply with Country through traditional fishing, gathering, and storytelling.

🎃👻 Halloween fun was in full swing today! 👻🎃

The children enjoyed some spooky (but healthy!) treats — we had “worms” made from berries with no added sugar 🍓🪱, “snakes” made from crispy puff pastry 🐍🥐, and even some little chocolates crafted from avocado and cocoa powder 🍫🥑.

It was the perfect mix of creepy, creative, and delicious — a big hit all around! 🧡🕷️🕸️
