A new chapter for the Fremantle Traffic Bridge

The wait is almost over, with the new Fremantle Traffic Bridge opening ahead of schedule on Sunday 1 November.

Before vehicles take to the bridge, the community will have the chance to experience it on foot and celebrate this exciting milestone.

For those who regularly travel between Mosman Park and Fremantle, the opening will make it easier for locals and visitors to get around, while supporting access to local businesses during the busy summer period.

🌿 Glyde Street Stage 1 is about to get underway!

We’re excited to get started on the first stage of the Glyde Street streetscape improvements, with works commencing Tuesday 29 September.

Stage 1 will deliver new paving, garden beds and landscape upgrades along the northern side of Glyde Street, between Stirling Highway and Monument Street.

There will be some temporary changes to parking and access while works are underway.

Temporary parking and traffic changes will be in place during the works, with measures in place to minimise disruption to local businesses, residents and visitors.

The new playground at Mann Oval is quickly taking shape 😍

We’re around two weeks away from re-opening the newly imagined play space, thanks to all the feedback we received during community consultation 🌈

With Federation Park’s new playground also nearly complete, it’s a great time to be a kid in Mossie!

CAUGHT IN THE ACT 👮 📸

Our investment in mobile CCTV cameras is paying off, after a non-Mosman Park man was caught on camera illegally dumping a truckload of items on Stirling Highway and St Leonard's St last month.

He was fined, marking the first enforcement outcome since CCTV was deployed to known rubbish hotspots this year.

The man, who lives north of the river, used an unregistered vehicle to transport and dump the items.

Mayor Paul Shaw said the fine should serve as a clear reminder that the Town takes illegal dumping seriously, and that offenders will face the full force of the law.

“This infringement shows the Town won’t hesitate to take swift, serious action to stamp out illegal dumping in Mosman Park.”

Combined with the new mobile CCTV units, the Town has taken a number of actions to tackle this persistent issue, including a community education and awareness campaign on the financial and environmental cost of illegal dumping, and personally reaching out to Coles Mosman Park to address abandoned trolleys.

See someone dumping rubbish illegally? Report it via the Town’s Antenno app or by emailing [email protected]
