Yesterday in the Hub at Morwell Park Primary it was a beautiful example of community in action 💛

From participants wrapping up their final sessions in the Introduction to Community Services program, to a lively group coming together to portion and share 25kg of delicious curry across our school community — the space was full of energy, teamwork and connection.

Families also jumped in to help distribute leftover Foodbank items and reset the hub for the next days sessions, showing just how strong and supportive this community truly is. 🍏🍊🥕

Moments like today remind us that many hands really do make light work. 🙌🙌

Thank you to everyone who contributed and brought such a positive spirit!

🌺 ANZAC Biscuits – A Yummy Australian Tradition 🌺
ANZAC biscuits are a special Aussie treat that many families love to bake.
They’re crunchy, a little chewy, and perfect to share together.
These delicious biscuits were traditionally baked from the heart by mothers, wives, and girlfriends for their loved ones heading overseas during the war.
The ingredients oats, flour, and golden syrup were chosen because they wouldn’t easily spoil on the long journey and were commonly available in the pantry at the time.

They were first known as “Soldiers’ Biscuits,” but after the landing at Gallipoli, they became known as ANZAC biscuits.
👩‍🍳 Fun Baking Activity for Kids 👨‍🍳
• Let kids help measure the oats, flour, and coconut
• Take turns stirring the mixture and counting how many stirs you do
• Gently roll spoonfuls into balls
• While they bake, talk about who you’d share your biscuits with
