Almost finished my latest work "Beautiful Lies/ The Ugly Truth", a work about the situation in Gaza.
It will be tuned up a little more, but in essence, it's my alternative response to screaming at the TV.

Latest work, "Window in Time"- The Pianola Parlour has just been finished! This has been an interesting journey, working with discarded original Pressed Metal Panels and Pianola Rolls to uncover and reveal the secrets held within. Utilising multiple media including oils, pen and ink, collaged original newspaper clippings from the early 19thC, spray paint, pianola sheets and more, the two shrouded characters emerged.

She stands on the right, dressed in high fashion of the time, smoking a cigarette whilst pouring a pot of tea... a worker lost in time and space- and her own thoughts.

He sits to the left, observing quietly, smoking a cigar, highly dressed and groomed, in a darkened space.... The pianola notes shimmer to his left, like light filtering through a window, small dots playing notes of popular tunes filling the parlour room.

A window in time, these figures are captured in a moment, a glimpse of another era, an evocative 'still', with the viewer left to fill in the dots. NOTE: press the little speaker button on the post, to 'hear' the accompanying music whilst viewing this (-;
