🌽 Veggie Fun in Kindy! 🌽

This week, our Kindy children explored corn on the cob as part of our Veggie Fun program!

The children peeled the corn and used their senses to discover how it looked, felt, smelled and tasted. This hands-on experience encouraged curiosity, sensory development and fine motor skills while building an understanding of healthy foods.

The best part was enjoying the freshly cooked corn together at lunchtime—it was delicious! 😋💚

💛 R U OK? Day in Kindy 💛

Our Kindy children participated in a special feelings check-in, drawing their emotions on colourful faces and sharing how they were feeling.

This meaningful activity supported the children to recognise, name and express their emotions while building communication, empathy and confidence. We also discussed the importance of checking in with our friends and asking, “Are you OK?” 💬💛

🎨🖌️ Painting Our Outdoor Space! 🖌️🎨

Today our little artists got creative with paint rollers, working together to paint the fence. The children explored how the rollers moved across the surface, making big and small strokes while getting hands-on with the paint.

This experience encouraged gross motor skills, coordination, creativity, co-operation and sensory exploration- and of course, lots of messy fun.

✨ SCOOP, COUNT & PLAY! ✨

Scoop it, move it, count it! Today, the children had lots of fun transferring colourful pom-poms into bottle caps using small scoops.

With every scoop, they strengthened their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, concentration, grasp and control—all while exploring numbers and one-to-one counting through play! 🙌

Who knew learning could be this colourful and fun? 💚

🎨🌿 **Exploring Art Through Texture!** 🌿🎨

Our Kindy children enjoyed experimenting with pinecones, paintbrushes, cotton tips and bubble wrap to create their own unique artwork.

As they painted, the children discovered the different textures, marks and patterns each material produced. This creative experience encouraged sensory exploration while strengthening fine motor skills and hand–eye coordination.

Today, our Nursery children ventured into our Nature Play space in search of fun and discovery!

They were delighted to find a water tub filled with natural loose parts, inviting them to touch, explore and play. This hands-on sensory experience encouraged curiosity, connection with nature and plenty of joyful learning. 🥰
