beautiful atmosphere where children can play and learn in comfort. ur centre is pleased to be operating a Queensland Government approved Kindergarten Program with an Early Childhood Teacher, aimed at preparing our pre-prep children for primary schooling. Our centre implements the Queensland kindergarten learning guideline and focuses on building upon children’s learning and development including literacy and numeracy skills and exploring the foundations of mathematics and science. e are committed to the implementation of the National Early Years Learning Framework and operate an Emergent Curriculum. Our program is based on the individual needs of the children in our care, is balanced and developmentally appropriate. It has variations, providing for a wide range of individual experiences. We believe food ingredients should come from the kitchen, not from a lab. From this belief came the inspiration to open our own production kitchen, the Healthy Cooking Company. We aim to create and promote natural and wholesome food with a number of health benefits:

* Low in sodium & refined sugar
* Naturally sweetened with honey

As Educators, we believe in teaching children that physical activity can be fun as well as good for our bodies and minds. As a result we have employed the skills of a fully qualified Personal Trainer to coordinate exciting exercise programs within our centres. We want the children in our care to experience the numerous health benefits that regular physical activity can provide. Can you believe we are halfway through our Veggie Fun Program for 2026? 🙌Our Veggie Fun Program runs for 10 months of the year, giving the QCCS Kindergarten Children real-world experience of our farm to plate approach to food & nutrition. By learning, planting, growing, harvesting and cooking our featured vegetables, children develop an understanding of food systems, as well as confidence in the kitchen.

This month our feature vegetable is beetroot! Loved on burgers in Australia, this nutrient rich vegetable will be whipped up into a creamy beetroot dip by our kindergarten children. Don’t forget to ask about the fun facts they have learned, they will love to share their new knowledge with you.

🌾🎉 Guess what?! Our very own Wobbly Will strutted his stuff at the Caboolture Showgrounds Scarecrow Competition and came home with an amazing 2nd Place! 🥈👏

After weeks of hard work, creativity and lots of love from our Junior Kindy children, we were so excited to visit Wobbly Will today and see how he went. There were lots of excited smiles as the children raced over to wave hello to Wobbly Will, give him some cuddles, and congratulate him on becoming our 2nd place superstar!🥈

The fun didn’t stop there, we also spent time visiting the farm animals, feeding them hay and giving them plenty of gentle pats.

What a fantastic day full of smiles, excitement and memories. We are so proud of our little creators and, of course, our superstar scarecrow, Wobbly Will! 🌾✨

The children dug potatoes from the garden, washed away the dirt, helped slice them, and watched them cook before enjoying a taste of our homemade potato chips. This hands-on experience helped children learn where food comes from while developing teamwork, fine motor skills, and an appreciation for the process of turning a potato from the garden into a delicious snack.

Our Bush Kindy🍃 adventure today provided a wonderful opportunity to extend the children's learning from yesterday's exciting visit to Australia Zoo

Using the natural environment as our canvas, the children explored mud painting, creating artwork inspired by the animals they observed during their zoo excursion. Armed with sticks, leaves and their imaginations, they used mud to paint their favourite animals, including kangaroos, crocodiles, koalas, snakes and many more.

This hands-on experience encouraged children to recall their observations, share their knowledge of different animals and express their creativity using natural materials. Through connecting with nature, children developed their fine motor skills, communication and appreciation for the environment around them.

It was wonderful to see the children bringing their zoo experiences to life through imaginative play and artistic expression in our Bush Kindy excursion.
