Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (QPWS) will be conducting a pest management control program at Cape Palmerston National Park from Monday 25 - Friday 29 May 2026 as part of the conservation management program for the park.
Fi****ms and traps may be in use.
All control activities are conducted in accordance with the Cape Palmerston National Park pest management plan and help to protect native plants and wildlife from the harmful effects of introduced plants and animals.
As a result, the park will be closed and all unauthorised access prohibited for the duration of the pest management program
Please monitor park alerts on the department's website for updated information.
Please observe all signage, barriers and directions from rangers and do not enter closed areas.
Facilities will reopen when the event is completed.
