🚗🚌 Past, Present and Future at MOVE! 🚲🚂

Today our students headed to Museum of Vehicle Evolution - MOVE for an exciting excursion to consolidate our Inquiry learning about the past, present and future.

One of the great things about MOVE is that the exhibits change regularly, meaning there is always something new to see and discover. It’s definitely a place you can visit over and over again and still find something different each time!

Of course, no bus trip would be complete without a game of SPOTTO 👀 Our students know just how much Mrs Brown loves playing on bus trips… and today they finally had their chance to win because she wasn’t on the excursion! 😂

There was plenty to see, discuss and explore, and it was fantastic to see students bringing their classroom learning to life through a real-world experience.

✍️📚 Young Writer's Workshop 🌟

On Wednesday, our young writers had the very special opportunity to meet author and illustrator Jess McGeachin, who has been facilitating our weekly online Young Writers workshops throughout the term.

After weeks of developing ideas, characters, settings and stories with Jess, it was fantastic for our students to finally meet him in person at the Young Writers event at Riverlinks Shepparton.

Each student also received their very own copy of Jess’s book The Lost Library to keep, and we were lucky enough to have a school copy personally signed by Jess at the event. 📖✍️

And to top off an already exciting experience, our students were also featured in the Shepparton News 📰✨

We are so proud of the way our students have embraced this program, grown in confidence as writers and represented Mooroopna North Primary School so brilliantly.

What a special experience for our young authors! 💙

📚✨ **BOOK WEEK FUN!** ✨📚

We had an absolute blast celebrating Book Week! 🎉

Our day was packed with fun, creativity and plenty of laughs, including:
💃 Book Week dance party
🔎 searching high and low for Wally
🧱 creating hilarious mix-and-match LEGO people
🎨 and colouring our very own personalised colouring pages!

A fantastic day celebrating books, imagination and creativity together. ❤️📖

🎄 August is never too early for Christmas music… right?! 🎶

Today we welcomed Rowan and Joy from the Mooroopna Steering Committee to MNPS as we got started on a very exciting community Christmas project!

Our students put their creativity to work designing decorations for giant Christmas gift boxes that will form part of Mooroopna’s Christmas display this year.

A big thank you to Rowan, Joy and the Mooroopna Steering Committee for inviting us to be involved! We can't wait for your return later next term with the boxes!

We can’t wait to see our students’ designs come to life and be displayed in our local community later this year.

☀️🎉 30 YEARS AS A SUNSMART SCHOOL! 🎉☀️

We’re very excited to be celebrating 30 years as a SunSmart school at MNPS! 🧢

While today was unfortunately far too rainy for outdoor play 🌧️, did you know we’re already in hats-on season?

Whenever the UV is 3 or above, hats are on for outdoor activities, even when it doesn’t feel particularly hot or sunny.

Here’s to 30 years of building healthy SunSmart habits! ☀️💛
