A Wheelly Good way to create Endless Opportunities For Young People
The cost of a $4 coffee per week could be all it takes for you to make the biggest difference in the life of young person to some of the most vulnerable young people in our community.

We are launching our 2015 EOFY Campaign; Endless Opportunities For Youth and inviting you to donate the cost of 1 coffee a week.

Our target is to get 100 people to donate $208 dollars to support 100 young people.

Donate to Youth Connect and receive your tax deductible receipt knowing that your support has enabled a young person to become a productive and contributing member of the community through engaging in education, securing employment and receiving the support they require to address any challenges they may be experiencing.

Now that you have spent last week and the weekend apply for jobs the next step is super important when looking a job.

Step 6 - If you haven't gotten a call back after you have entered an application, you can either: 1) Go there, ask to see the manager, and ask him if he has checked out your application because you haven't gotten a call. Make sure your presentable, not all dressed up, but presentable. 2) You call them and ask them if they have checked out your application. If they say they will and still don't call back in a few days then call and ask again. You can do this about 4 times but make sure you do it at least 3 days apart. This method lets them know that you care and is highly effective.

Step 4 - Fill in job applications. Make sure your skill-set matches the requirements and that you can travel to the job.

Step 5 - Before having an interview, learn about the company you wish to work at. You will have a heads up on how they run, which will give you an advantage.

Here are another 2 steps to help you get a job.

Step 2 - If your CV is too sparse, try volunteer work. Working in a charity shop or elsewhere for free will gain you experience and increase your chances at getting a paid job

Step 3 - Get reliable people to proof-read your CV. It is very hard to be objective about your own experiences, and a fresh eye will help pick up any spelling mistakes or grammatical errors you may have missed.

This week we will be releasing steps to help you get a job.

Step 1: Create a resume/CV. Even if there will not be much on it, your resume will help introduce you to your desired job. Remember not all experience has to have come from a previous job, maybe you've done some writing for your school newspaper or designed websites as a hobby?
