🌟 School-Wide Expectations Focus: Week 7 & 8 🌟

Over the next two weeks, we’re focusing on an important expectation:
"We keep our hands and feet to ourselves."

Sometimes, behaviours like mucking around or play fighting might seem like harmless fun, but they can quickly get out of hand and lead to someone getting hurt or feeling uncomfortable. That’s why it’s so important to think about how our actions affect others and make choices that show respect and responsibility.

Here’s how we can all work together to meet this expectation:
✅ Respect personal boundaries – Be mindful of other people’s space and comfort.
✅ Avoid rough or physical play – Choose safe and positive ways to have fun with your mates.
✅ Think before you act – Consider how your actions might impact others around you.

We all play a part in creating a safe and supportive school environment. Let’s make Weeks 7 and 8 a time to step up, show respect, and set a great example for others.

Struggling? Say something. See someone struggling? Say something.

We believe in the power of kindness and looking out for one another. Life can be challenging at times, and it’s important to remember that none of us are alone. Every single one of us needs help sometimes, and your support could make all the difference to someone who’s struggling.

If you or someone you know needs help, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Whether it’s a trusted teacher, a friend, or a parent, talking to someone can make a world of difference.

🌟 Year 12 Students Attend the P.A.R.T.Y. Program in Rockhampton! 🌟

Today, our Year 12 students had the opportunity to participate in the P.A.R.T.Y. Program (Prevent Alcohol and Risk-Related Trauma in Youth) in Rockhampton. This powerful and eye-opening program is designed to educate young people about the consequences of risk-taking behaviours and empower them to make safer choices.

Throughout the day, students engaged in hands-on activities and heard real-life stories from health professionals, emergency service workers, and trauma survivors. From learning about the impact of road trauma to understanding the importance of making responsible decisions, this experience has been invaluable in helping our students prepare for their futures.

A heartfelt thank you to Mr Worley, Mrs Munro, Ms Brown, and our school nurse, Anita Sailsbury, for accompanying our students and providing support throughout the day.
