It’s Wombat Wednesday! 🤎

Mish was looking especially adorable while meeting visitors on tour!

You can meet one of our wonderful wombat ambassadors during our free interactive tours, held daily at 11:00am, 1:00pm and 3:00pm and included with sanctuary admission.

📸 Thank you to visitor Yoichi Kobayashi for sharing this gorgeous photo.

🖤🤎 Double trouble has entered the chat…

One black. One fawn. Both ridiculously cute. Both VERY serious about dinner 😂

Our Eastern Quolls might be small, but what they lack in size, they certainly make up for in personality!

If you’ve been watching our Eastern Quoll Experience from the sidelines, consider this your sign to come and meet these spotted little characters for yourself!

Get up close, learn more about one of Tasmania’s incredible native carnivores and discover just how much personality can fit into such a small package.

⚠️ Side effects may include becoming completely obsessed with quolls.

Eastern Quoll Experience bookings are available through our website 😍

🍰 WE’VE BAKED UP SOMETHING DEVILISH! 🖤
We’re incredibly excited to announce that Trowunna Wildlife Sanctuary has entered the 2026 Threatened Species Bake Off! 🎉

And of course, what better inspiration than one of our most iconic residents… the Tasmanian Devil! 🖤
This incredible creation was proudly baked and decorated by our incredibly talented Keeper Camryn and we think she absolutely nailed it! 👏😍

Now we need YOUR help!
Head over to the Threatened Species Commissioner’s socials, find our Tasmanian Devil cake in the entries and click LIKE 👍 on our entry!

Every like and reaction counts towards the People’s Choice Award, so get liking and show Camryn (and our devils!) some love! 🖤

Good luck to all the incredible entries, what a delicious way to celebrate Australia’s threatened species and the people working to protect them! 🌿

Those famous Tasmanian devil teeth are made for more than just a fierce grin! 🦷

Tasmanian devils have incredibly powerful jaws and sharp teeth, perfectly adapted for crunching through bone and making the most of almost every part of their meal.

As nature’s clean-up crew, devils play an important role in the Tasmanian environment, scavenging carcasses and helping keep our ecosystems healthy!

Powerful bite. Very important job 💚

💜 Women’s Health Week: Do It Anyway 💜

Looking after your health doesn’t have to mean making big changes. Small, realistic steps still count, even on busy days.

🥗 Add something nourishing to your meal.
🚶‍♀️ Take a short walk or stretch for five minutes.
😴 Make time to rest and recharge.
🧠 Pause, breathe and check in with yourself.
💬 Call, message or catch up with someone you care about.

You don’t have to do everything. Choose one small step and do it anyway.

Your health matters. 💜
