🗳️ ✅ Last week, I had an opportunity to vote in an election again - thanks to the above and beyond effort put by Modbury High School Y7 students and teachers into organising their Election Day.

The speeches delivered and campaign materials prepared by the students were very impressive - and the election experience was complete with real voting booths delivered by the SA Electoral Commission.

Great to see students learn how preferential voting works in such an engaging and practical way.

I was absolutely delighted to attend another beautiful City of Tea Tree Gully Citizenship Ceremony on Wednesday. 🤩

It was my great privilege to announce the names of the conferees as they came forward to receive their Australian Citizenship certificates. 🇦🇺

Can't believe it's already been a week since we turned the sod to officially start the construction of the new buildings for Tea Tree Gully Tennis Club and Tea Tree Gully Gymsports.

Can't wait to see the new clubrooms and much-awaited new gymnasium!! 🤸‍♂️🤸‍♂️🤸

Once again, on Australia Day, it was my absolute privilege to attend the City of Tea Tree Gully's Citizenship and Australia Day Awards ceremony. 119 new Australian citizens from 18 countries joined our family on this very special day!

Congratulations to the amazing winners of our Australia Day Awards:

Simon Nappa, our Outstanding Citizen of the Year, coach of the Tea Tree Gully District Football Club Men’s Inclusive Team, whose dedication to helping players with disabilities to achieve their dream of playing football inspires so many.

Outstanding Community Group of the Year: Lions Club of Tea Tree Gully for their unwavering commitment to serving our local community for over 60 years.

The weather and atmosphere couldn’t be more perfect this afternoon for the opening of Solandra Reserve Japanese Garden 🌸😍

The Garden celebrates City of Tea Tree Gully ‘s Sister City ties with Asakuchi in Japan. 🇦🇺🇯🇵

It features a stunning centrepiece rock with a carving of sakura flowers, as well as tiles with traditional Japanese designs created by .highschool students.

Beautiful place - well worth a visit on your own or with family! 😊
