📢 June is CMV Awareness Month 🤰

Most Australians have never heard of cytomegalovirus (CMV), yet around 400 babies each year are born with disabilities linked to CMV, including hearing loss, epilepsy and cerebral palsy.

Australian Pregnancy Care guidelines recommend all pregnant women receive information about CMV and how to reduce their risk during early pregnancy, but this isn’t happening consistently.

💛Cerebral Palsy Australia is working to change this, so every woman has the information she needs to help protect her baby.
