With the Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb literally just over one week away, the Wesburn / Millgrove CFA climb team are getting very excited for the gruelling 28 floor stair climb in 25kg of firefighting gear at the Crown Metropol on Saturday 12th September, but none more so than our 1st Lieutenant, Troy.
Troy has been a dedicated member of our brigade since 2019 and took on the role of 1st Lieutenant in 2026.
This will be his 5th year of participation in the Melbourne Firefighter Stair Climb.
Troy has chosen to take on the stair climb again to help raise vital funding for the amazing Lifeline, Peter MacCallum Cancer Foundation and 000 Foundation.
He also says that it is a great way to socialise with other members outside of firefighting.
Troy's goals for this year's event are to either beat or come close to his personal best climb time, and to also try and beat his highest ever fund raising effort of $1452.
His current fundraising total stands at $1200 of his $1500 goal, and with a little support, we believe that he will make it.
If you would like to support Troy with his fundraising, you can donate via his MFSC26 profile page below.
