Did you know that the Wesburn Millgrove Fire brigade is 100% volunteer run? All our members have regular jobs and families, but willing to drop everything when the pager goes - no matter what time of day or night to respond to support our community. How awesome is that!

Congratulations to Kevin and Mason, Wesburn Millgrove's newest qualified firefighters. After a huge effot to study and train, these new firefighters were put through their paces today alongside recruits from -
Yarra Junction Fire Brigade (CFA)
Seville Rural Fire Brigade (CFA)
Little Yarra CFA
Wandin Fire Brigade

🔥🔥 Planned Burn - Big Pats Creek 🔥🔥
A large planned burn is scheduled to be ignited in the next 24 hours in Big Pats Creek. This will result in road closures in the area (listed below) during this time you may see smoke and flames in the area.

The following roads will be closed:
🚫 Mississippi Fireline
🚫 Mississippi Creek Rd between Mississippi Fireline and Brahams Rd (the private residents along this road will still have access to their properties)
🚫 Lyrebird Rd
🚫 Lyrebird Track
🚫 Stringybark Track
🚫 Lay Fireline
🚫 Brahams Fireline
🚫 Brahams Rd between Woods Point Rd and Big Flume Rd

🔥Planned Burn Update🔥

Forest Fire Management Victoria (FFMVic) will be conducting planned burning from Tuesday 28 April - Thursday 30 April.

🚫 Bike Park Closure
To ensure everyone’s safety, the bike park will be closed on Tuesday 28 through to Thursday 30 April 2026 while this work is underway.

There will be no public access to the entire trail network during this time.

🔥🔥Wesburn Planned Burns🔥🔥 - Scheduled for 28/04/2026

FFMVic have provided advice that, weather permitting, two planned burns are due to be ignited tomorrow, Tuesday April 28th in Wesburn - one located on Edward Street, the other on Mineshaft Hill track.

During this time you may see flames and smoke and there may be road closures as needed.
🚲🚫🚲 The Warburton Bike Park will be impacted, and will be closed from 28/4 - 30/4. 🚲🚫🚲
