FRIDAY NIGHT FUNDRAISING
On Friday evening MSHS hosted the Chaplaincy dinner as part of the inaugural Moonie River Beef Challenge, the major annual fundraiser for Chaplaincy in Miles.
Participants donated a steer or contributed to a syndicate that purchased a steer. These cattle where then placed in the care of Justin and Sharon Schultz of Janean Pastoral Co., St. George. They spent 100 days in the feedlot being fattened before auction and processing. Profits from the competition go directly toward providing funding for Chaplaincy in Miles at both Miles State High School and Miles State Primary School. This year the competition was able to raise $47 000 in much appreciated funds. 🤩

Miss Turner's Hospitality class provided a smorgasbord of absolutely divine beef inspired entrees and mains followed by the most delicious desserts. Well done to these students for their professionalism and time, congratulations to the entire crew.

During the evening student from Year 9/10 Ag Skills presented their Farm of the Future entry from the EKKA to those in attendance. Congratulations to the students who volunteered their evening to present and stayed on to help with the rest of the evening.
